Thistle goodness

The dry weather continued and the mid-week work party was quiet with many regular volunteers away on summer breaks. We achieved some watering, thistle-pulling and continued preparations for sealing the pond base.

There are a few patches of thistle, which, whilst excellent for some pollinators, do have a tendency to dominate. Our Field Management Plan includes some thistle removal to mimic livestock grazing.
